A New Year…A new beginning

A New Year…a new adventure!

Happy 2015! We pray that this new year brings you and your family blessings from the Father.

As many of you are aware, in November of 2014, God called our family away from Swaziland and back to the States. He didn’t reveal His complete plan, at the time, and we were simply trusting and following His lead. Leaving Swaziland was probably the most difficult thing our family has had to do. We didn’t want to leave a ministry that is having such a profound impact on not only a nation, but also the Kingdom of Heaven. We left a lot behind; family, friends, and a nation full of people we love, but as it goes with following the Lord we looked forward. It was simply, the hardest move ever!

As we began to transition back to life in America, we had an overwhelming peace in knowing that the door to Swaziland had not been closed for our family. We just assumed that it meant for us to return on short-term trips or possibly move back at a later time when the girls completed their education. For about a month, we prayed, sought His will, and leaned solely on Him for guidance as to our next steps.

Several opportunities surfaced, in many different areas of the States, but none seemed like the right path that God had for our family. While visiting the home office for Adventures In Missions (AIM) in Gainesville, GA, we learned of an opportunity that would keep us Stateside, but still be connected with Swaziland. It even offers the possibility of traveling to Swaziland several times a year and being advocates for the the long-term missionaries already on the field.

After our visit we knew this was the plan that God had for our family. He wants to use our experience on the field to bridge the gap between the office and the field. Looking back, we realize God was planning and preparing us for this for a long time. Mark will be the Program and Partnership Manager for Swaziland with AIM, and his role will play a vital role in supporting the work that is happening on the field in Swaziland. The Lord is using this ministry to be disciple makers and create hope through the gospel of Jesus Christ and it is our pleasure to continue to be a part of it.

So, a few days ago, we moved our family again, this time to Gainesville, Georgia, to began a new adventure He has planned for us. We are so excited to see what God has in store for us on this side of the world. We do not expect this to be easy. We still long to be in Swaziland with our friends and family there, but we know for this season He has us here and we are committed to see it through.

We would appreciate your prayers as we make another transition. While the location is different, the mission is still the same. We never thought that the Lord would need us in the States to serve Swaziland. We have dedicated our lives to serving Him whenever and wherever He desires. We would not be able to do this without your love and support.

In our new role with Adventures in Missions we will continue to be support raised missionaries. As faith based missionaries, living on support is one of the most difficult, yet rewarding aspects of being a missionary. We have seen God move in so many ways that can only be described as miraculous. He is Jehovah Jireh, the God who provides, and we trust that He will continue to raise up supporters for our every need. If you are a current financial supporter, we thank God for your faithfulness and we ask that you continue to support the mission that is so dear to all of our hearts. If you have not partnered with us, we ask that you prayerfully consider joining us in this new adventure.

If you are interested in supporting us, please click the “Support Me” tab under the “Main Menu” on the left-hand side of this blog site. Simply follow the instructions given on the screen. We are already thanking God for His faithfulness and provision through you, our supporters.

We pray blessings over you and your family this year.

With Love,

Mark, Allison, Madeline, and Emma Clyburn

Thankful for your service. Hope you can come to Augusta sometime. We have rooms waiting on you–and there are many others available also.

Maybe after you have settled in we might make a day trip to Gainesville.

Swaziland won’t be the same while you are not there.
