April Update- 2013

April 2013- Update

We
are approaching a very busy time of the year when teams from North American
churches come to visit their Care Points. This is a wonderful time to see old friends and great to meet
so many new faces that are on fire for the Lord!  As busy as this time is, I look forward to this winter and
anticipate many lives changed, many souls to be won, and many hearts to be
blessed.

We
take for granted what simple, loving touch can do for a person.  Most of the children we work with have
never had loving touch from anyone.
Whether it be from abuse, neglect, or cultural reasons, most of the
children here are not given that loving touch that is so needed for a person’s
well being.  This winter will allow
so many children the opportunity to be loved, held, snuggled, and even tickled
by someone sent by God to fulfill His great commission.

Swaziland
was just name the 5th poorest country in the world.  It is sometimes hard to get past all
the darkness and despair that we are faced with here.  It seems like the problems are so big and we are so small.   With God, we take one day at a
time.  We look at each encounter as
a possibility to make a change.

I
love the quote from John Keith Falconer…

 “I have but
one candle of life to burn, and I would rather burn it out in a land filled
with darkness than in a land flooded with light.

Give
me this land of darkness.  Give me
a land that has the highest HIV rate in the world.  Give me hundreds of thousands of orphans.  Give me this poor, starving
nation.  Give me all of this and
more!  I am honored to be a part of
this nation.  I am honored to be
used by God.

 Pray
with us…

  •      For continued financial support.
We have lost a number of monthly supporters and are adjusting our
    monthly budget.

  •        For continued health and safety for our family.
  •     For this beautiful country, the King, and it’s people.

  •       For all the teams that will be traveling to Swaziland this winter.
  •      For the children that we encounter on a daily basis…their health,
    safety, and their hearts.

Thanks
for joining us on this journey!

In
Him,

Allison

  2. Praying or you guys and am so thankful for you all. I have thought about the well and the fence at Thulwane and how God showed Himself faithful through both of them. Praying for you as you prepare for all of the teams. I know it is going to be amazing!
